Wisdom - Perspectives and Musings Intro

Elizabeth Johnson • Mar 10, 2019

From the moment I was 4 years old and sat on the back of a horse for the first time, giggling in a bubble of white light, I knew horses would always be part of my life. I still feel that bubble of light around me today as I am working with a horse. As a young girl my father encouraged me to pick up baby birds that fell out of the nest or birds that flew into the window, to hold them gently in my hands, next to my heart, sending them love and healing so they could fly away happy and amazingly enough, they did. I am very fortunate to have had this guidance as a young child that has carried me into many amazing experiences with animals.

There are some wonderful side effects to my work. In devoting my life to the well-being of animals, I’ve watched them develop a larger purpose of helping humans to heal body, mind and soul in so many different ways. I then realized I’d become part of this process with them, being relegated as a messenger of sorts. I did not see this coming in my humble beginnings but am now so grateful to be a small part of the bigger dance of wellness for all.

I hope my perspectives and musings of this Wisdom page are at least entertaining and at best foster a stronger connection and a willing partnership between you and your animals. Please also visit the library page where I offer some knowledge to heal and share wisdom to expand mindfulness, compassion and empathy for the animals and the world around us.
